Mystery 2

Can you solve the following mystery?(If you want, you can join the mystery contest.) (You know how. If you forgot, look back at Mystery 1 and Mystery Contest 1)

Byspy Riglo was a detective bear. Wherever he went, criminals were caught. His dad (Chief Riglo) was a police. If a crime was left unsolved, he knew what to do. He would hurry home and alert his son. And every time, he came back with a solved case. Byspy always solved the case. Chief Riglo wanted his son's picture hanging in the national bear hero hall of of detectives, but what good would that do? Each time they would say: Prove it! But he could not. They would always say, "You told him the answers!" if he tried. So he kept it to himself and Mrs. Riglo, Byspy's mother.

One day he came back with a worried face. Byspy and his mother knew what that meant. It meant that Chief Riglo had a case he couldn't solve. "Tell Byspy." his mother urged. "He has never failed yet." So Chief Riglo gave Byspy one look and started. "Mrs. Iopooh says that yesterday night Poohdet stole her diamond ring. She says that he climbed up the fire escape and she saw Poohdet as he climbed back down. "How does she know that Poohdet stole her diamond ring?"Byspy asked. "Because," replied Cheif Riglo."she claims she saw the diamond ring on his finger as he pressed his hands on the window for a last look at her room."Chief Riglo added, "Can you prove that Mrs. Iopooh is lying? We police think that but we have no proof.""I can."answered Byspy smiling. "Because of one careless slip."

What was her slip?

  1. Maybe the ring won't fit on a bear's paw?

  2. Then why would Mrs. Iopooh own a ring?

  5. Did Jonathan got the answer this time?

But I would argue one could still wear two rings on the same finger if he wants it.

Still it appears hard for Poohdet to wear anything, if he is a descendant or a relative of Winnie. Such big fatty paws; maybe a silly band at most.

  6. One thing, bears have fingers, but you can't see them.

  7. The diamond ring is on the other side when the bear pressed his finger on the window. Small details matter.

  8. Correct. Rings are worn on the back side of the hand. So it would be impossible to see the ring if he "he pressed his hands on the window of a last look".
